About Our Site

AsianCook was formed to offer a unique reference point on how to cook indian, chinese and thai food.

Recipes from Asia are some of the most delicious you will find anywhere in the World. The sheer number of spices that are now available, and no longer are they confined to specialist shops, allow you to make dishes with relative ease.

For many the words Asian cooking brings to mind food such as curries or sweet and sour dishes. There is so much more to Asian cooking than this and this website helps develop awareness of all the different recipes that can be made, using authentic ingredients from around Asia. For example, mention the words squid or octopus to many people and they will recoil with horror when you say that it is a delicious sea food, but how many have actually tried it?

It is hoped that the Asian Cook website will encourage you to be more adventurous in your cooking and open your taste buds to all the delicious foods on offer from Asia. If your only experience of Asian food is from your local take away, prepare to taste something that is quite different, in a very pleasant way!, and experience Asian food as you have never done before.

Our concern was that there was no single UK resource for interesting features and practical advice on this subject.

Our features and articles are written by experts - who have experience, or a particular interest in this area.
